Regardless of whether you are chasing a child while the child is racing down a slope on a bicycle or you are a recreational athlete who does not think about the consequences of a possible fall in the “fight” for the ball, it is good to know what to do in case of injury.

With the arrival of warmer weather, the need and desire to spend time outdoors with our loved ones are more pronounced. The day is getting longer, there are more and more children on the streets. Riding a bicycle, or scooter, rollerblading, running, walking, and going to the sports fields become indispensable, and with that comes the risk of injury.

What to do in case of injury

Every day we are exposed to the possibility of minor and major injuries that can ruin our day. However, it should be understood that accidents are not reserved only for the youngest, but happen to all age groups. The fact is that most of them still result in minor injuries and the treatment and care of which we do not always have to seek medical help.

Regardless of whether you are chasing a child while the child is racing down a slope on a bicycle or you are a recreational athlete who does not think about the consequences of a possible fall in the “fight” for the ball, it is good to know what to do in case of injury.

In the case of an injury where the continuity of the skin has been interrupted, the wound should be washed under a stream of clean water to remove visible impurities.

After you have dried the wound well, apply an antiseptic that will reduce the number of potentially dangerous microorganisms that can lead to wound infection.

Then apply Cicatridina spray or Cicatridina ointment based on hyaluronic acid, which accelerates healing and prevents the formation of scars.

If it’s the youngest, don’t forget to add a hug and a few kisses at the end.

The most common types of outdoor injuries

SCRATCHES AND LACERATION

Falling is the most common cause of injury in all age groups. Playgrounds and playground equipment are the most common places where children are injured. For athletes, it is a question of various sports activities (cycling, running, outdoor training, etc.), while for others it can be an accident at home, in the yard, in the orchard, and the like.

In addition to falls, it can also involve hitting various objects. If the skin breaks during the impact, the wound must be repaired.

Injuries sustained during a fall or impact are most often superficial, such as scratches or lacerations.

In this case, be sure to take advantage of Cicatridina spray, which accelerates healing and helps re-epithelialize tissue, and reduces the possibility of scarring. It is applied directly to the wound from a distance of 10 to 15 centimeters. The cooling effect instantly relieves the burning sensation and pain at the spot of the injury. It is especially important that for the youngest the application is painless.

In addition to the spray, there is also Cicatridina ointment, which is also used for adjunctive treatment of superficial wounds sustained from a hit or fall.

CUTS AND STABS WITH A SHARP OBJECT

Cuts and stabs with sharp objects are somewhat more serious injuries that should be treated with more attention. In this case, it is preferable to remain calm and heal the wound quickly.

The wound should first be rinsed well under a stream of clean water, and then an antiseptic agent should be applied to it. If it is a deep wound, it is definitely recommended to consult a competent doctor who will assess whether it is necessary to sew up the wound and possibly administer a vaccine and/or immunoglobulin against tetanus.

When you are sure that the wound is clean and that no medical intervention is needed, you can apply an aid that promotes healing to the wound, such as Cicatridina spray and ointment.

Cicatridina products enable moist healing and can be applied to deeper wounds. The spray and ointment can be applied directly to the wound and in situations when the wound is still bleeding, and can also be used directly on the sutures in the case of suturing the wound.
BITES AND STINGS OF INSECTS AND ANIMALS

If it is an insect sting or bite, medical treatment is usually not required, because apart from redness and possible itching, there are usually no other symptoms at the site of the sting/bite.

Cicatridina ointment helps in such situations as well – it soothes redness and reduces itching, and with the help of hyaluronic acid it acts as a structural support, providing the tissue with the tone, trophism, and elasticity.

If it is a bite of a larger animal, be sure to contact a family medicine doctor who will carry out the initial treatment of the wound and give you advice on how to proceed, depending on the type of animal and the extent of the wound.
